Calling All Yamahas. Time to Post Your Pics

Thanks, I had to buy a silver NP-S2000 from Japan and move its cabinet, side panels and switches to a black USA NP-S2000 ....then I sold the (now) black Japan unit on ebay. The silver NP-S2000 was never sold in USA....

Just acquired my first vintage amp. This is a CA-610, it is in good condition, does not look like it has ever been worked on, Cosmetically it is as close to perfect as one could expect for something built in 1977. So far all I have done is clean the faceplate and knobs. Deoxed the control pots and fixed one of the lights that had burned out. I have not connected speakers yet, but headphones sound pretty good and clear. I should have my new speakers in a week or so.

CA series is classic stuff! I've had a few of them and love every one. Used a CA-810 daily for about 3 years before moving on. I miss it sometimes. I do not miss the lack of remote control however, nor the pains in my knees from having to get down on the floor to flip a switch or turn a knob. LOL

I've contemplated doing something similar before. I have a black A-960II which I understand to be pretty rare. Unfortunately it's dead as a doornail.

Really like the way this looks right now. Of course it sounds great too. I love this 90s gear, it's just so perfectly understated and functional. I would not mind replacing the RX-V850 with an AX model from the same time period. But it's a real nice receiver and I'm very content to have this be my long-term main system if the perfect AX- integrated never comes along.

RX-V850, CDX-550, EQ-550. Monolith turntable, Canton Karat 300 speakers

Sweet. I have a pair of Karat 200's that I love. Those 300's must be nice.

I really wanted the 200s because the cutouts for the mid and tweeter are the same size, so you swap them in one speaker and have a mirror-imaged pair. You can't do that with the 300s.

But I never could find a pair of 200s in decent shape.
