Can anybody ID these headphones?

I picked these up at a local thrift. They sound decent but not spectacular. I like the volume controls on each earcup, and they're very soft though rather heavy. Anybody know what they are?

The plug says Japan, that "M" logo looks familiar but I can't place it. There's no model number to be seen.

Looks like the Cadilac emblem of the laurels without the door/key opener inside of it. Motorola is a nah too,I believe....hmmmm:scratch2:

Monarch, I believe. More than likely, late 60's/early 70's Japanese.

Or Mikado -- a low end 60s japanese company or import company in the US.

Thanks all for the replies. Can't find any info on Monarch or Mikado, but anyway there decent phones for my $5.50.
