I am thinking Cresendo 3007?
Infinity Reference 50. In USA they would be Reference Five.
Edit, If it's an 8 inch woofer (20 cm), it would be equivalent to the Reference Four. Reference Five had a 10 inch woofer.
GerryS has got it right. In addition, the Crescendo (CS) series was much more solidly made, with real wood veneer (it may not be obvious to everyone, but I can tell right away that this is not real wood - infinity used particularly ugly vinyl or whatever it is), and I don't think they were sold anywhere outside North America, since they were designed specifically for Circuit City (a defunct electronics retailer).
The curved front corners are a giveaway that they are from the Reference line. They are acoustic suspension. Yup, vinyl wood veneer. They do sound good though, and unlike the US comparable Reference Four, the Reference 50 were made so they can be bi-amped
Thanks for helping.
One more ID help. I am hoping that this is a Kappa 7?
A quick look around (you should bookmark this if you're going to be searching Infinity speakers) http://www.infinity-classics.de/
comes up with this...
Kappas have fluted corners and clear/white/yellow (depending on condition, they start life as clear and change color with age) polydomes.
Also, I'm reasonably certain that's not the original woofer in the RS 5001. They should have a smooth black plastic cone with foam surround, while these look like treated paper (also, the frame is different). I'd exercise caution unless you're sure you can source the correct ones.
Thanks, I think I will stay away from these. Moving on.
