Picked this gem up a while ago, but just listened to it. I was in my Flamenco guitar mood and though I have tons of Montoya (one of my favs), this album was a stunner! Unadulterated gypsy Flamenco, reading the liner notes it states each song was done in one take 1963 at RCA's Studio A. First song (second side), Buleria Por Solea, is something special (finger and tongue snaps included), it's like a race to the finish. All around raw gypsy guitar by one of the finest!

    Lucky you!

There's just something about the raw playing of this vertzsio that I just don't find in the newer players of today. Really difficult to describe...it's just there in his talented playing.

If you like that, try to find anything by William "Paco" Strickland.

    Thanks for the lead.

In turn, check out Jessie Cook or Robert Michaels for this genre as well.
