Cassette player 220v plugged into 110v

I am electrically challenged so I am hoping I can get some help via this forum :)
I bought a Marantz CD player for a low price and I noticed it had one of those euro plugs on it.
I figured no problem since I have converted plugs.

I plugged it into the converter and then into the wall ad it powered up no problem.
No funny sounds or smells.
I could even see the capstan belt spinning.
But none of the functions are working (play, reward, ff)
The belts are fine.

Question 1:
Is this likely because of the voltage difference ?

Question 2:
Based on the photos, can this thing be configured differently to make it 110 ?

I have a soldering station so I am prepared

Thanks

Ya but.....Look at pic 1. Says 220V. Your plugging it into 120v. And no, you cant plug it in twice to make up the difference. Looks like you might be able to reconfigure pic #3 transformer input for 120V .
