Cellphone photos. Caught anything interesting lately? Post em!

My wife and I have been going to a place on the east side of Kauai north of Lihue for the past several years and it is just the opposite for us. We set the alarm for 6am and when the coffee is done go sit on a log on the beach. Never seen a sunset in HI, but many, many sun rises!
I often get up with the sun. But since I'm on the wrong side of Haleakalā, sunrises aren't as spectacular. The light and shadow it casts on the other side of the valley is pretty cool. For good sunrises, I'd have to go to the other side of the island or to the top. For sunsets, all I have to do is look out the back.

Sunrise at 10,000+ feet, above the clouds.

My grown daughter and I went out driving through a camping/picnicking area adjacent to the White Sands Proving Grounds here in southern New Mexico.
Along with a couple dozen campers this is another camper that we saw crossing the road.

Seems all my photos are going to be winter stuff, at least till we head to Hawaii in Feb!
We had some snow last night, not enough to need the snowblower, so used my old 4 wheeler and plow. Problem was there was glare ice under the snow from a rain we had last week that turned the driveway into a luge track! The chains were barely able to grip and I had almost no steering because the ice was so slick. In fact I tried to walk on it last night and slipped and knocked my head on the ice.. Damn!
