Cerwin Vega E312 speakers, crossover issue

Bought a pair of these on ebay. Didn't notice until the other day the midrange speaker wasn't working.

Swapped speakers to verify that the speakers work.

The crossover is the issue. They are the type that have the adjustable crossover levers on the front.

Regardless I pulled the crossover and found a capacitor that was not connected. Resoldered and it still doesn't work.

Whom would you recommend to fix the crossover?

Well, if you can find a bad connection and resolder it, you can probably fix it yourself with our help.

Possible it has something to do with the level control - have you tried moving that control through its range? They get dirty and corroded.

A bad connection between the crossover and the driver.

Or, that cap may be open. It can be replaced fairly easy and inexpensively.

Do you have a multimeter?

Me,I'd probably contact CV directly and see what they had to say.
They may be able to recommend an authorized repair center locally if they cant help you.

But agree it's not uncommon for the pots to need some cleaning from time to time.

FWIW I'm the original owner of some E712,,,so I'd always contact them first if I had any issues w/mine...
