cheap but good RCA plugs?

Does anybody have a good source for inexpensive but decent RCA plugs? I've been trying some DIY ICs with cheapo plugs and I guess it's time to move along to some better plugs.

I'm thinking along the lines of $2.00 each for gold plated.

Any good or bad experiences with plugs in this price range?

The gold is there to prevent oxidation which can cause bad connections. The commonly used base metal for RCA plugs these days is brass, so I would think that any gold plated brass plug you buy will be basically like another. Cheap copper wire will tend to be better than any cheap RCAs.

Hi guys,

I am partial to the Canare RCA plugs available from Markertek as well as other places. I think they are around 2.95 each. I've been using these with Mogami 2549 cable. I have also begun playing around with Canare crimp type RCA's and F connectors with Canare LV77 coax.
