I found this at a thrift store for $8. It needed some cleaning and new (LED) lamps. It now looks and works great! Anyone else remember Claricon? This unit was made in Japan.

Claircon appears to have used the same OEM as Lafayette Radio (LRE) in that era! That thing is cosmetically extremely similar to some LRE products of the early/mid 1970s.

Maybe Standard or Automatic Radio OEM? Just guessing, barely even a a SWAG.

Not an exact match, of course (this LRE receiver is a quad!)... but I had this scan handy and - I think - it illustrates the phenotypic similarity ;-)

... and besides, the LRE is "Today's most sophisticated four-channel receiver"! ;-)
