Cleaning an ultrasonic cleaner before first use?

I just got a Trusonik 10L ultrasonic cleaner. Did anyone clean their new ultrasonic cleaner before first use? If so, how did you do it?

I gave mine an ultrasonic bath.

I'd wipe it out with alcohol to pull any oils off the metal. But yeah, otherwise you'll see if there's something hiding once you turn it on.

I ran mine with tap water for about 10 minutes to see how it operated and noticed such a rattle from the surrounding metal work that I took off the bottom and ran a thin line of caulk on all the places where metal pieces connected. Did a good job of quieting the noise from the vibration (but the US is still a noisy machine...)
