Cork TT mat warped

My TT has an aftermarket cork mat that is glued down but has, over time changed its thickness. It has not delaminated but the record slips on it sometimes. I can correct it by clamping the center but that is a band aid solution. Is there a way to flatten the platter or should I scrate it off and get something else?

Does your platter easily lift off? If you replaced mat, could use an even pattern of four or six pieces thin double sided tape to hold new one down. I have a cork mat, but currently not using it. I don't adhere my mats down. Not sure noticed my felt or cork mats slipping. Maybe there are cork laminated mats with a grippy back material available. Don't know.
The TNT-audio website at one time, had a DIY project of a cork laminated to a glue-backed dampening mat material on other side. I don't find it right now with quick look.
