Any suggestions on floor standing speakers for this receiver ? Most speakers these days seem to spend a lot of time around 4 ohms so I don't think they are appropriate for this amp. Only thing that sticks out to me so far are Vandesteen 1 speakers but I'd need to order online and they have no midrange speaker.

These aren't floor standers but the pairing is a good one. I have some NHT SuperZero 2.1 bookshelf speakers hooked to my CR-1020 and they sound pretty damn good paired up with receiver. They are actually sitting on shelves but I also have some stands I can put them on if I so choose. Just FYI, they are 2-way so a subwoofer would be a nice addition.
