After reading members' feedback I have decided that building a pair of subwoofers based on the Gradient W-63 is my best option.

A crossover kit designed for these subs is no longer in production.

Even though I have the plans I do not have enough knowledge to build the crossover from scratch, I have built several speakers kits, but only with assembled crossovers. I would prefer to buy a plug 'n' play unit rather than using a mini DSP switch. There are many crossovers on the market, new and used, so I have no idea what to buy.

I want to use a spare QUAD 405-2 which has been recently upgraded for the rest of the set up.

    Cheers

Peerless SLS 830669 available from Madisound. The 831857 recommended in the article is no longer available.
