This player is well known for a common, fatal problems in one of the chips.
I was given a dead one many years ago, was told it cannot be fixed and it has
sat around. Many of these failed due to a early life chip failure, the Tampa service
center figured out a fix and repaired some but it was a limited time deal.
I'm pretty sure that all of the unmodded units WILL fail in time.
It has pretty nice, clean build quality, anyone found a good use for the parts?
