Defuzzing / cleaning ADS tweeters?

Picked up a pair of ADS L690 at a garage sale this morning and the tweeters have "fuzz" stuck to them. The material of the tweeter is kind of sticky itself.

Any way to safely remove this fuzz??IMG_20180421_092707.jpg

nope
read through this topic posted every couple years here on AK.

Send the tweeters to Richard So for 60 or so a pop they will get new domes and be like new. might just sound the same, though.

Those aren't bad, I'd leave them be. It takes a lot of mass to change the output, there is barely anything there. If you want to remove some of the fuzz use nylon or other non-magnetic tweezers and carefully pick off loose hairs. Try to grab ones that have ends free from dome, don't dig them off the dome. Or just put the grilles on.

a piece of scotch tape will help
I wouldn’t use scotch tape as it may pull off some of the sticky coating, which you don’t want. As suggested, use some plastic tweezers, nothing magnetic or it may get pulled right through the dome.
