Deoxit’ing micro switches ?

I am trying to revive a Sony tc580. When trying to playback a tape, it sometimes will playback on one channel for a few seconds then stops. I presently have the chassis on my workbench, however most of the switches are microswitches. Can the be Deoxit’ed? This is my first try at reviving a RtR!!!

For DeOxit to perform its function, there needs to be some wiping action between the contact surfaces. Micro-switches are pretty much snap action switches with minimal wiping action. It is best to just replace them. Mouser or Digikey carry most micro-switches.

It might work followed with a non-residue electronic cleaner wash after being cycled several times.
