I know Deoxy It as the go to, but Fry's has the Emerald product at $6.99 for 13 oz and the Deoxy It at $19.99 for 5.5 oz. If the cheaper product is an adequate replacement...

I've never used the Emerald. Anyone have experience with it?

It appears to be just a cleaner. "evaporates quickly, leaves no residue'

Some like to use that type of product, CRC also has one, to do the cleaning before going in with the DeoxIT that will clean up the oxidation of the metals and provide a bit of lubrication.

It's worth a try if you go through a bunch of the stuff. Might be a good substitute.
I have been using Peavey Silent Slider for years. It's similar to whatever the oily Deoxit is.
A tiny amount seems to be all I've ever needed and it keeps the pots feeling very nice. It even worked magic on a Yamaha input selector switch that was so gunked up I bought it as a non-working unit. Usually you have to take the switches apart and manually clean them but a spritz of this stuff along with turning the switch back and forth a few times has had it singing at a friends house for two or three years now.
