Digging into a PAS 2/3

I am ready to start digging into my PAS 2. I will start with the selenium rectifier. My question concerns the electrolytic power supply caps. Will going with Black Gates or paper in oil caps here really impact the sound? Or should I just go with generic caps at first?

I think for the space you would need to stick with eletrolitics as you need lots of choke to go with low uF oil caps. Panasonic or some other brand ought to be just fine ought to be just fine or a single dual section LRC laying on its side. I remember 2 in a clamp next to the selinium rectifier and plenty of room as the old axial caps were fairly large if not very long.
Adding a choke if you have the room and a dropping resister you could remove certainly would not hurt.
