Yeah it's STILL hot here as December approaches. This has been a very helpful site to me in a very short time...Got some good info and help from some good dudes in the infinity speaker forum this week. My system consists of some 70s era transitor amps (Nikko Alph VIs) with other nikko support components pushing a pair of Infinity RS 4.5 "trees" (there's so much wood, they're more like trees than boxes!) I also run 4 Bang and Olufsen redlines out on the pool deck much to the neighbor's chagrin !
I like the 70's era equipment, especially the BO stuff because of its Frank Loyd Wright look... the equipment should be visually pleasing to the room, adding to the decor even when its turned off. I don't like cabinets that hide everything. The old Mac stuff is very distinctive too.
I've had my system for years, but just recently aquired a second Alpha VI. I've often thought of moving into tubes, so I may sell my system at one point...I'll post it on AK should the mood strike. -Drew
