I was wondering if there are any quality affordable models .
Any Affordable thick extension cables for electronics in basements too?
Does the auto off function work on electronics ? What about stand by mode
My bedroom goes a while sometimes in between movies" no cable box I'n bedroom.

My moms probably to cheap to invest in them .
My old subwoofer klh 10" auto off function does not work ,

maybe it's time to put on your big boy pants and buy your own surge protector, instead of blaming mommy?
Spent al my money on car insurance , I didn't ship the jobs to China , not my fault. USA is crumbling
I have two surge protectors , I'm asking about new Eco ones.

I wanted to know if these work with electronics or if standby mode is enough to save powe ???
Anyone tried an eco surge bar.
Do electronics keep data when shut off, does the surge protector know if it’s actually off or in stand by ?

I've never tried one but you have to save a lot of watt-hours to pay for the power strip. For example, if a $25 eco strip shuts off 50W of load for 20 hours/day that saves you 1 kilowatt-hour = $0.10/day on my power bill. So it would take 250 days to break even in this example. And killing 50 watts is a lot. You would have to figure out what your draws are to calculate what it would save and how long it would take to pay off. It may take years to break even.
