Eico ST40

Hey everyone,
I have an Eico ST40 on it's way to my house via e-bay. I know that Thatch recommends this for newbies to tubes. It will be an upgrade from my Monarch SA 601, which still tickles me to death. I was wondering if anyone has modded this model or could tell me where to find more info on the Eico. Let me know what you guys think of the Eico ST40.

I have never heard of this being modded but certain cathode to ground alterations could be helpful for getting more bass if you need. Here is the Eico sites copy of the sales brochure.
