Environmental EQ Question.

Hi. I have a pair of XR14 which requires MQ101 or 102 for flat low frequecnies.

But my question is that I can use MQ104 instead?

It's much cheaper than those two above.

Please let me know!

Anybody?

You need the eq as the C28 does not have the right curve. The MQ104 or MQ107 would work fine but the MQ108 would not. I recommend the 107 for the simple reason that 4 eq bands are almost never enough. Don't forget the cap kit!

Thanks for the response. Sorry about a newbie question, but what is the cap kit?

You adjust the settings with a box of capacitors that come with it
instead of turning knobs. They often end up getting lost by the time people want to sell them.

The kit came with all MQ101, 102, 104, and 107?

Or just 104/107?
