Has anyone used any product to help protect their beloved equipment from getting scratched? I like my stuff looking as pristine as possible and looking for ways for them not to get messed up.
Ok that’s pretty funny.
My dad used to have plastic seat covers in his car with the three small kids. They were the kind with little bumps, about 1/4 to 3/8 wide. I used to enjoy pressing them in while I sat there.
Age has taken care of my OCD symptoms when it comes to my gear. I just keep it clean (mostly), but scratches and other signs of wear - don't worry about it, personally.
Reminds me that I have an old farmer friend of mine (I used to be a farmer, too) who would buy a brand new truck (always white) and one week later it looked like it was twenty years old. I asked him, why do you treat your expensive trucks like that? He replied that he bought them to use, not pamper. My family was just the opposite. Our trucks looked brand new, we washed our tractors and other equipment every day before quitting for the night (usually around 9pm), and maintained them meticulously. In the end, we ended up with very pretty worn out gear.
This has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Sorry.
