Oh yeah, and that Sony - don't let that get away. The two together would definitely be worth having - almost regardless of price.

Sony audio in that series were fantastically good in all respects back then. I've had that one's little brother for about two years - also with the wood sleeve. Was not looking for a receiver, did not need a receiver but when I saw it (being returned to a thrift store as not working), I had to have it. New speaker fuses was all it needed.

And there's no intention to dispose of it. It's in abeyance for when I must go to assisted living provided I can afford more than a cot in a dorm room.

I have a 1019, they are nice. I like the receiver too. Sony 6050 with a nice wood case. Worth a recap/restore imo.

Well it looks like I will have to let this one go. My wife just told me about her plans for the weekend that will prevent me from making the hour drive, the sale is in Ottawa, Ontario, so if anyone wants the details just PM me and I can send them along.
