That's an interesting unit. Too bad he doesn't have the other monoblock for stereo and the matching preamp.

Top of the line Pioneer unit made for the local market. Actually rated at 60 watts with low NFB.

Looks like it was made to compete with Trio's (Kenwood) L-07 series.

If it survived a year on 120V, then perhaps it was modded for this. Pioneer, unlike Sansui, had individual power transformers for each market. I doubt the transformer(s) inside this particular unit has a multi-tap primary.

Seen that amp once on display at a "high end" event,
I believe the M-Z1 to be a true Class A amp and Pioneer 1979 TOTL power-amp :scratch2:
