The annual Sclaford Hall hi-fi show attendees got to sample the delights of my vintage JVC kit including the DD9 tape deck. This was my second year exhibiting at this large audio show which focuses mainly on vintage and DIY audio.
We had a system fronted by the DD9, Rega and Technics SL-7 turntables through JVC electronics onto some of my own DIY loudspeakers, built in the style of a 3-way vintage AR.
The DD9 went down extremely well and was I think the preferred source.
We ran mostly BASF chromes without NR and many were quite shocked to discover the sound was coming from cassette.
