Fair Price for a Phase Linear 400?

Was talking to a customer over the weekend and we got talking about about audio, he said he's got a Phase Linear that he was thinking of selling.
He said it works but the controls need cleaning or it may have an issue with the output transistors.

I can figure out what a working one is worth but not sure what a fair offer for one that needs work would be.

Apparently not much ,even in nice cosmetic condition.
Two have been on sale here on bartertown for months at $150 with no takers.

The bay can get about 3-1/2 for one, less fees, shipping and troubles that might be a couple bucks more than BT could possibly find for one of these

Phase 400 doesn't have controls, just large VU meters as I recall, owned one for 20 yrs.

Just Google Imaged it and I guess the Series Two does have controls so....never mind.

There was one on my local CL in really nice shape with the wood case for $300 that sat for a good month or two before going away. Don't know if it sold or the owner got sick of relisting it.
