it does carl believe me.especially when i have the money in my pocket to be a contender for 1 or 2 of those amps.however the money is for something else(speakers) so i wont be bidding.

first off that auction on ebay is a scam and i already reported it to ebay to get it pulled.the pictures and even the text were copied word for from a previous auction.since i'm a big fairchild fan i track and save all previous auctions for fairchild gear. i myself already own a pr of 260's and the 245/248 stereo preamp and do enjoy them very much.i've had and sold alot of vintage gear but the fairchild gear will be with me until i die.

I did see a 240 on display here the other day. If you are ever in the Albany NY area, these guys have some interesting stuff as you twist in between the Altec and dahlquist speakers not to mention the HUGE units put together by Dalbec.

The Fairchild wasnt for sale, it was in one of their displays, but I've pretty much found everything is for sale just depends on the offer.

yeah seems everyone has their price.i'd just hope they keep it on display and not sell it .there is not too much of this gear out there on the market as most people that have it tend to hang onto it.i'd love to eventually see a 240 or even own some for the collection but they dont show up too often either.
