If you guy's have been following a few threads awhile back, I've been having bloated bass issues
with my KX200. When I used to play it I would only keep it on for a half a hour at most because
of this issue, so I finally took out the .082uf caps I had in the amp and replaced them with a quad
of Spraque Vitamin Q's .068uf after having them in a few days I have to say the bass is more
on the neutral side now and now I been playing it for a least two hours at a time sometimes three.
I know the common thing to do is put .1uf's in the amps for increase bass but this amp doesn't need
the increase it has it all so I now sit and enjoy it.

Good job, Tube! Did you replace the power cans and/or increase their value?

Yes it was all done when I first restored the amp, I just had that nagging bloated bass issue which seems
better now with the .068uf Caps.

Hey Lou, does someone make drop in replacements for the can caps?

Westy; Try Hayseed Hamfest. He'll make custom Can's to your specification. About the cost each as CE Generic Can's @ AES. I've done all my Fisher's with his can's and no problems with them since 2009. He's now making kits for the most popular models.

    Thanks Larry, good to know.
I like the amplifier so much I purposely removed the cans so I wouldn't blow it up before restoration.

Like Larry said, I also use AES caps the which seem fine as well.
