First time heard the Accuphase E205 at my place.

Hi folks. Yesterday my nephew brought the 205 home for a very anticipated spin.
We connected the audax speakers and cambridge dac and let it roll for an hour.
The amplifier sounded brilliant.
It was almost like a tube amp.
More energy in the mids .Less so in the lows and highs .... A beautiful balance !!!!
This was making it in-separable from some of the tube amps iv heard.
The knobs were smooth n firm to rotate .The amp was like new.
Listening to some of the tracks i
could feel the true strengths of this amp in the beauty of expression.
My luxman L550x sounded brash in the bass . Maybe it never got a bench testing ever since recapping.
Overall this accuphase is a music lovers true collection.

Interesting. The Accuphase is a bit later, 86 vs. 83 for the Luxman and well that was an early Alpine Luxman. I don't know if Accuphase has ever had such turmoil in ownership as Luxman. Seems both are on the right track these days making fine audio gear.
