Hello everybody !

Avery Fisher (Company: The Fisher)
is credited to have produced the first
transistorized amplifier in 1956.
Does anybody know the model number?

Thanx

This is what I know of, in terms of Fisher SS firsts:

The first transistor amplifier big enough to power a decent-sized hifi speaker was made in Holland by Philips in 1955. It was part of a two-piece radio, was only designed to amplify the signal from its accompanying tuner, had no provision for other inputs and was not sold without the tuner, so perhaps that's why it doesn't qualify as the "first transistor hifi amp."

Hmmm I don`t know but I think that my Fisher 401 Reciever may be one of if not the first SS Reciever.
