Local auction house by my place has one on their website and at least from the posted photos, looks pretty clean. Worth placing a bid on ?

Depends on the price. Is this one of the models with the magnetic track under the platter? I've heard those models are in the "much better than you'd think" category of tables, considering Fisher wasn't considered top of the heap turntable wise.

I suspect it's going to go pretty cheap - the vast majority of the items being auctioned off in this estate are antique furniture, old books, etc. Don't see a whole lot of interest from the audiophile community in any of the lots.

If it works and has the remote I would go for it for around $50. That one is kind of unique, with the remote.I never had one of those , but I have a 6430 and a 6435 that are real nice and I've never had a problem with them. The linear drive tables are very quiet and if the remote isn't there, it is still a good table.
