Fly Fishing East Tennessee

Able to get out and fish for maybe only the third time this year. It's been pretty hot here the past couple of weeks, so trout were hugging the bottom, but the high yesterday for me on Roan Mtn was a glorious 75!

The warm weather may have made the fishing a bit slow, and I didn't take any pics of the fish I did catch to limit their stress before being released, but it was a beautiful day and made up for moving furniture across the state the day before!

They were indeed brookies, no fish pics to avoid stressing fish any more than necessary. I truly believe in catch and release so that these fish can continue to make their come-back and so someone can come behind me and have the chance to catch these little gems.

Good for you! I try to treat the native brookies the same , though it's been a couple years. Western Maryland has some nice trout streams.
