Focal 807's on Focal Stands....can I improve them?

I've had these for about 4 years. The stands are made for these speakers and they bolt together. I recall assembling the stands and they had a filler to pour in to load them.

Does anyone else have these? How can I possibly improve the sound? There's so much info on coupling, decoupling, isolating, mass loading...I'm curious more on these particular brand/series of speakers.

I'd also mention the stands, which have spikes, are on carpet covered concrete slab.

edit: here are the instructions for the stands:

What is it about the sound that you're looking to "improve?"

Good question: Nothing super specific, more that my new-ish amp is more mid forward and so I'm thinking maybe more/punchier bass. Overall I think its more playing with ideas to see what does what, but Focals don't seem to have many threads about them compared to KEF and others. Lots of general curiousity relating to the Focal stands, people modiying them/tweaking them/whatever...
