FrankenFest Winter 2018 Seminars

Is it ok if I sit in without having a Rpi? I forgot to order one in time and I'd still like to learn how to do it right.

You bet! I'm assuming that some people just want to attend to see and hear what these things are about. That's fine.

Is there a confirmed headcount ? and/ or is there anyone who doesn't have a Rpi / memory card and/ power supply that needs one (in additon to @dlucy ).. If there are a few people in need I can offer to make a Microcenter Run to pick up however many are needed if there are a few people in need.

Thanks Bostown.

Anyone who wants to take up Jamal on his generous offer, please post here now. So you can plan, here's what you need and what it costs at Micro Center:
- RPi 3B $30
- Inland 5.25V 2.4A power supply $8
- 16Gb house brand Mucro SD sale $6

Plus 6.25% tax

Hey Dan - Sorry the seminar didn't work out today. It was a large, LOUD, and excitable room. It would have been hard to get any seminar going especially one with a lot of technical aspects to it. Your effort is much appreciated.

I would like to learn about this, so once I get all the parts assembled, how about I bring over some Blue Ribbon BBQ and we pull one together?

Brian, yes that sounds good. I hereby extend that offer to other people who want to come over to my house in Arlington, MA to learn about these things and maybe roll your own. We WILL have the right network setup as well as space and enough quiet to focus on this. And if we make at least one of them work, it won't be so quiet any more.

Maybe a video in the making?? Hell, I'm still trying to get my Squeezebox to find my itunes :(

I could give a talk/seminar on loudspeaker design if there is interest.
Obviously the Winter fest is over, there is always next time.
A side room might work for seminars.

I could also give one on amp repair. I already made the slides and gave it at the

Spark Maker Space in New London CT: http://audiokarma.org/forums/index....mp-repair-by-pete-basel-new-london-ct.818511/

I've helped several people repair their amps over the internet, an Adcom GFA-555 here:

Pete - that would be great for the Fall Fest.
Gracias (I’m in Costa Rica this week ;-) )

Gone and back, my third time for work.
I landed in San Jose and then drove out to Puerto Limón for a few days with one of the fruit companies. We build tracking and remote control devices for Refrigerated containers.
