This is still available !!! IT IS FREE !!! IT NEEDS A HOME . RESCUE THIS CAB ! This ad is for a single Electro-Voice Empire empty speaker cabinet. I'm thinking this is from 1960 or 61.the grill looks fine, the light on.it is just an anomaly. I've been buying and selling speakers from this era and older plus vacuum tube audio equipment and vacuum tubes somewhat professionally as I was selling at the swap meets for the Michigan Antique radio club events starting in 1990, longer than eBay has been around and online since 2001. I have had a ton of Electro Voice stuff including my top prize I guess, the bottom cabinet of a very early patrician with an 18 WK driver with a serial number of 135 I got from the owner who drive to EV to get it . I got this because there was an opportunity that presented itself and at the time I wanted 8 HD horn and T25 driver that was in it along with the t35 Tweeter that was in it and sp15 W that was in there as well. Those have long since been sold I sold those Maybe 6 years ago maybe 7. I hung on to this cabinet because it was in really nice shape and my thought was is that I saw empty Empire cabinets or single Empire cabinets that had components in it that I could sell and then have the empty Empire cabinet to mate with this one and then have them in my garage mounted in the ceiling with some plywood as sound reflection material for my garage system but that never worked out and so it is in one spot my house for the whole time and hasn't moved. You too can find single Empire cabinets and they really are a fantastic speaker cabinet. Not horn loaded like a Regency cabinet but still with a good 15 inch driver in there, coupled with the horns that you can completely find on eBay at just about anytime you're Desiring to find one or one of the Myriad of 15in coaxial or tri-axle drivers that are also something that you can find on eBay and to that point your best sounding speakers that you can put in these cabinets they're not even going to be electric voice.Altec drivers are really great drivers to put in these as are some Lafayette Goodman's Tri axles as well as a few others so you don't have to get an e v speaker to put in these but if you do stay away from an all paper cone suspension on a bigger Electro voice speaker because chances are that cone will be full of age cracks so, get one with a cambric material that has the accordion edge of get one with a cambric material that has the accordion edge of get one with a cambric material that has the accordion edge of the suspension material as those electric voices are not going to be subject 2 age cracks and then you will have a great sounding speaker. Anyway, all you have to do is drive out to the Village of Mulliken on m-43 and come get it BUT, if your in Grand Ledge, DeWitt, Charlotte, Lansing or maybe even East Lansing I can bring it to you they're a little bit farther away slide me some gas money I'll bring it to you in the back of my covered S10 Less
