Started upgrading from a Yamaha rx v659 and a set of cerwin vega ls-12s in December. SVS prime towers, svs prime center, dual svs sb1000 subs and def tech promonitor 800's. Yamaha mx-2, Yamaha m80, denon poa 800, anthem mrx 310. Rega rp1 w/upgrades, lounge audio mkIII preamp. Plus running dedicated electrical circuits for the system. Pretty happy with the way it sounds.

Not high end but it is a good start.

Well Fin, got most of it off the interweb but a local dealer had a couple of anthem mrx 310's that he'd had for a few years still in the box so I got it for a little less than half price brand new. Yep being in the middle of Minnesota is sure a desolate spot for any kind of electronics. Even BB closed their store in willmar.

Yeah, it looks interesting but I think I'm good for the summer. To busy golfing and other stuff. I'll get serious about upgrading after the fall harvest when all I have to do is sit in the house with ma for the winter.

Have to say I do like the M80 over the mx-2. IMHO better separation and imaging.

Picked up a Yamaha c-65 preamp. Going to use that instead of the lounge for my tt . The svs primes seems to be a little bright so trying something different.Still running everything thru the anthem mrx 310 so we'll see what happens.

Well liking the C-65 as I can adjust the sound from my tt. Digging around at my old house, where my son lives now, and found an old technics cd player. Brought it home, dusted it off, plugged into the c-65 and I have to say it don't sound too bad. Only thing is I have to run the preamp into an anlalog input on my mrx-310. Running out of room and I'd like to separate the ht from 2 channel and need to do a lot head scratching to add my speakers.

86'ed the technics and picked up a yammie cd player (cdc-775) still have to go thru the anthem but listening to some old Cash, Haggard and Jones on analog cd it sounds pretty nice to my ears.
