I keep kicking around going tube....I now run a 40 watt tanburg through a early pair of JBL L88s and the volume knob is mostly in the 3/4 range. First is most tube amps even close to my budget ($400 to$500) are 10 or 12 watt....I know the two don't compare but I have reservations.
To the best of my knowledge my 88s are not the most efficient so that is where my doubt is.
Does anyone have experience with this model? gem tune bl-02 I know the tubes are "knock off" but it looks like I can swap them out later if needed...also I see a lot of "best for jazz or vocal" so my hard rock and or metal days wont sound as good as the tandburg? I know sound is what you "like" but any input is help full. also my room is 12 x12 for now. thanks for looking.

I own the kt88 model that was purchased from amazon . At first hookup was not happy with sound until i upgraded the tubes . Now it sounds good 3d sound when those tubes open up.
