Gordon Lightfoot...medical update

Mr. Lightfoot was released from a Hamilton hospital on Thursday. His prognosis is excellent and he should return to making beautiful music very soon.

I was just wondering about him the other day after seeing one of those late night cd offers. He was one of my favorites during high school. What was he in the hospital for?

It had something to do with his stomach and a weakened vein IIRC. Being a Canuck Gordon Lightfoot is like a national treasure.

I saw him locally here, years ago. He made a concert with 2000 people seem small and intimate, just him and his guitar. I have listened to him since I was a kid in the early 70's. He was always spinning on my folks TT or R2R deck. And he spins quite regularly on mine as well. Sundown is my favorite, it always takes me back to my youth, which for some reason keeps getting farther and farther away.
