Funny, I don't associate good dentition with British rock bands
(sorry -- couldn't resist)
Many great bands will be overlooked, as well as individuals. Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose, Commander Cody, The James Gang, Gentle Giant, Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk. Here is the requirements to be inducted, if not already known.

Remember when The Kinks' Ray Davies actually sat down in a dentist's chair, to have the diastemic gap in his front teeth filled? He considered his getting up and fleeing, and keeping his mouth as the the good lord created it, as one of the most important decisions of his career.
Well, I can only I write that I in full agreement: they ain' never gettin' into the hall.
While I agree Wolf Parade will never make the RRHOF, I will argue it's not for lack of talent. Dan Boeckner (one of the 2 principal song-writers in the band) is one of the best song-writers in rock music right now. Obviously that's my opinion, and does not mean diddly in the grand scheme. But all the same, I'd recommend you give them - specifically his songs, in that band and his other projects - more than just a cursory listen, before dismissing them.
Sorry for the tangent.
I went on a bender with Boeckner about 15 years ago (Vancouver Island is a small, tight-knit community). At one bar, he jumped on stage and sang a song called "Jo Jo the Dog-Faced Boy". I wish that moment was recorded!
I agree he is one of the best song writers out there, but he also possesses one of the best rock voices out there, too. And his guitar playin' ain't too shabby....
Obviously, the RRHOS (S = Shame) is a travesty. While there are many truly noteworthy artists that have been inducted, there are even more that are extremely questionable. Unfortunately, the powers in charge of deciding who gets nominated are heavily biased against certain forms of music and have no interest in nominating seriously influential artists.
No, seriously. Has anyone else here survived the 1970s? Do you remember the blow-dried hair dudes, sometimes with a porno mustache, who used to manage places like Musicland in the mall? That's whom I think of when I think of things like the RRHOF. I never put stock in what these people thought was good music back then; I sure don't now.
Tina Turner still hasn't made it either.
I lived in Detroit when the decision was made and there were some hurt feelings. But get real. When I was a kid and bands said "Detroit fans are the best fans in the world!" I'd think "Wow - that's pretty impressive!". I also believed Ernie Harwell knew where all the fans in the stands who caught balls came from.
