Haunting Rock Songs

I gotta say it's The Jezebel Spirit from David Byrne and Brian Eno's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, an album where they dubbed music over found audio. In this case, found audio is an authentic exorcism.

 
Wow... that whole first side of the Byrne/Eno album is full of haunted music.... Here's another one featuring a politician on a talk radio show. The name of the song? Mea Culpa...


This one always reminds me of the last sentence of W. B. Yeats poem The Second Coming. It goes something like this:

The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
