Headphone Problem

Hello all,
I have a set of Sennheiser HD 570 headphones. I have been having a nagging problem with either the right or the left side either cutting out or distorting. If I play with and twist the wire I can get the problem to resolve itself for a period. Obviously there is most likely a short somewhere inside that is causing the problem. Does anyone here have any experience disassembling these headphones? Can anyone shed any light about how to get them apart without damaging them? They have a very delicate plastic shell with no visible screws so I am hesitant to attempt a repair with out first knowing how to properly take them apart.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Can't help ya with the cut out problem, but thought I'd mention
that I have a pair of HD410 that I would sell if your interested!

Not sure about the newer Senn's, but the old ones were made where the cord unplugged from each headshell, you'd remove the foam pad and then simply unsnap the plastic encased driver from the shell. If the cable or driver was bad, Sennheiser would sell you replacements.
