Headphones from C26?

What are the proper connections to facilitate the use of headphones. Power amp is 2100.
Also I use an Adcom speaker switch and have one vacant pair of outputs on it. Usable?

Connect the amplifier outputs to the amp input terminals of the C26. The C26 will step down the amplifier input for headphone use at the jack.

Speakers are connected to the C26 which can be switched on/off from the front panel of the preamplifier.

Correct. The Adcom speaker switcher is not necessary when connecting the two as caddy describes.

What's more, the C26 (and C24) were designed to maintain a load on the outputs so that a tube amplifier would be protected when the speakers were turned off. Small details like this is what earned McIntosh its stripes over the decades.
