Found a pretty nice set of old headphones yesterday, Sony MDR-M77s, in a thrift store for $2. They were missing the foam pads, so nobody else wanted them. I see they were made in '84, & were probably a pretty good pair back then, as they still sound pretty decent. Funny, I thought they didn't have enough bass, but putting new pads on really boosted it. They weren't exactly designed with "private" listening in mind though, you can easily hear them from across the room, with any kind of volume.
