Hi,
Most people call me "Chief". I'm from Corpus Christi, Texas. I've been using AK for info as a non-member for a good while. I've been hesitant to "join" and post, as I am pretty blunt and honest, and I tend to not have a filter between my brain and my mouth.
That being said, I see a lot of posts from members that seem to have the opinion of if it didn't cost high 3 digit or more, or it's not a major exclusive brand, that it's junk. These are the opinions that scare a lot of fledgling audiophiles away from the hobby. I don't feel that way.
I believe that every level of component has a place. If you can only afford those $20 garage sale Technics speakers, then you're starting where there's a lot of affordable improvement.
Buy what you can afford. Like what you buy. Listen to all of it.
