I am a new member from Washington State.
My first system was a klipsch pro media 2.1 connected to my PC, which I loved! Unfortunately, even the low setting on the subs garnered complaints from neihbors in my building! I've since given that away to a friend.
I'm now in the process of setting up a 3.0 system because I've found that having dialog in the center speaker really helps for movies/TV. I can't wait for the day that I have my own house where I can invest in a great system!
I will be hanging around asking for suggestions on bookshelf speakers and the best ways to connect my PC to my receiver.
