In the ROW (Rest of World, i.e., ex-US), "National" is usually a Matsushita brand (Panasonic in the US, usually). But that doesn't look like the Matsushita "National" logo. There was a US radio company also called "National", who built a small bit of hi-fi gear over the years, but that doesn't look like their logo either.

The receiver reminds me of McIntosh's made in Japan "Stereotech" line... which, IIRC, were built by Standard Radio.

I think it's Matsushita. My "National Panasonic" turntable has an emblem like that.

upon closer inspection... the big red "N" does look like it might have the little circled "National" in it that we all know and love.
