Hi all,
This may be a long shot but here it goes. I found an RX-V596 on the side of the road. It shuts off immediately when I try to turn it on. This appears to be a fairly regular problem for these Yamaha receivers. I am not very good at troubleshooting electronics but I was doing some research and ran into a video on EEVblog channel where he fixes a similar unit, the RX557 by replacing the C405 capacitor on the power board. You can see the cap sitting pretty right at the top of that power board. Here is a link to his video:
My question is this...my unit does not look exactly like this one. Just for curiosity I would like to replace the like capacitor on my unit to see if it works. Can anyone tell me what that would be on my unit? I am attaching a link to the service manual for the RX557 which has the C405. The manual is too big to attach.

The pdf for my unit, the RX596 is attached in this post. What would the equivalent cap be?
Thanks for any help!!
