Hennessey Venom GT, verified @ 270.49 mph !

Wonder how long that record will last. Most likely not very long.

that video was from 2014; in 2017 a Koenigsegg hit 284 in a 'regular' owners car on a closed stretch of highway.

Problem is, that car is designed for a straight line. Not so with the other hyper cars.
the Driver of the Koenigsegg when asked if he'd want to try it again "No, fun is not a straight line"

Exactly. It is roads and driving like the ring that makes drivers excited.

Exactly True! Some of my best times were had in small English 4 banger roadsters. MG's and Austin Healeys with less than 100 HP total. Either that or two wheels and a great road or track. Everyone has their own preference though.

Absolutely true ! Cars that can be driven at (or near) ten-tenths without going to jail or the morgue are always the most fun ! IMHO, this is the main reason why Miatas always sold so well....

On Apex n Netflix the Koeniggsegg had camera people following him around a big car show and he was running around like a little kid showing them all the things he liked at other manufactures displays
