I pulled my woofers out to do some work and when I went to put them back the rubber gasket was so stretched it was hard to get them back in correct. Would putty sealant work as good or do I just need to order some new gaskets? I asume they are still available.

I don't like putty and I don't order the actual gaskets. I just use cheap stuff purchased on partsexpress.

Putty can be messy when you want to get back in there, IMO.

Look on ebay for Tacky Tape. They use it for sealing windows in motor homes. It lets them flex without losing the seal.

closed cell foam with an adhesive back ,thin about 1/16" is all you need. Don't ever use putty or silicone or anything sticky.

thanks for the replies, I had already bought the putty but will look for some foam tape. at least the putty was cheap.
